State Payday Loan Law Information

Payday loans in Kentucky are restricted to amounts equal to or less than $500.  The maximum term of any loan is 14-60 days.  The maximum finance rate and fees may not exceed $15 per $100 of the amount advanced.

The maximum number of outstanding loans is limited to two with $500 aggregate loans outstanding to all licensees. An outstanding loan cannot be renewed, rollover, or consolidated and there is no cooling off period.

Collection fees are limited to one NSF check if the fees are disclosed when the loan is initiated.  Criminal action is prohibited.
